Living in Birchills Birchills lies in the north west of Walsall and is situated in the Birchills Leamore ward of the borough. Today, it is mainly a residential area, but the continuing existence of a number of industrial firms serves as a reminder of its important industrial past. Personal testimonies have been collected from residents of Birchills who have lived all, or most, of their lives in the area. Their memories reveal interesting, and often humorous, facts about local life that would otherwise have been lost.
