BCLiP Libraries are committed to promoting reading for learning and pleasure and the sharing of books through:
The provision of nearly 2 million books
Hosting reading and creative writing groups
Offering author, poetry and storytelling events
Supporting national reading and literacy campaigns such as RaW and the Richard and Judy Bookclub
Organising the annual Black Country Big Book fortnight
BCLiP Libraries are at the heart of Lifelong Learning – providing:
Information (books, journals and online sources)
Free access to computers and the internet
Study space and research facilities
Information on courses and learning opportunities
Support for developing work based skills
Taster sessions and short courses in libraries
